FAQs

It's my first time to pole dancing, what should I wear?

Wear clothing that is form fitting, such as shorts, vests, crop tops, etc., that keep your arms and legs exposed for gripping the pole. You can go barefoot or wear socks, both are fine, and whatever works for you. You don’t need heels for our fundamental/tricks pole classes, but you may want them for the choreo (dance) style classes.

Please read each class description when booking on Momence (booking platform) to find out what is best for each class. Knee pads are recommended for most choreo classes to protect your knees and provides more comfort when doing any sort of floorwork.

WHAT CLASS SHOULD I CHOOSE IF I'M A BEGINNER?

At the studio we run two main types of pole dancing classes...
‍Pole Fundamentals/Tricks - these classes teach you the basic pole dancing moves/tricks/combinations.
‍Pole Choreo - these are dance based classes where you will learn a choreographed dance routine to music.

Please arrive for your class on time, at least 5 minutes before the class begins. If you're late and miss the start of the class/workshop we will not be able to let you join. This is to ensure the other class members are not being interrupted.

WHAT should i do to prepare for my first class?

Please don't wear body moisturiser/oils for at least 24 hours before your class. As this will make the pole too slippy on your skin and you won't get good grip to the pole.

Please also remove jewellery before your class such as rings, bracelets, and watches as your hands and wrists should be bare, to protect the poles and your jewellery from damage. Earrings, belly button piercings, facial piercings and necklaces are all fine.
Please remember to bring a bottle of water.
